WHO WE ARE
What we have today as Goodwill Group of companies, a conglomerate made up of 5 different subsidiaries all started as Nikombui Nigel Accounting Enterprise on the 15th of November 2013, at Sossolisso Buea in the South West region of Cameroon, with a capital of 10.000.000 FCFA and 3 staff.
The main activities of the firm were centred on assisting petty traders with record keeping of their business and establishment of financial reports that enabled them to determine the performance of their business on a periodic basis in order to make informed decisions that would improve their business on the one hand and acting as a mediator between tax officials to seek better measures of encouraging taxpayers, rather than enforcing harsh punitive measures that will rather scare the taxpayers, which could lead to tax evasion while some considered closing down the businesses altogether.
A few years later, the demand for the services grew exponentially with greater prospects for the future and the current legal structure of the enterprise was no longer evident so the need to incorporate it into a full-fleshed company. In 2016, the business was incorporated into a limited liability company with the new name, Goodwill Consulting Ltd with a capital of 46. 000.000, while the staff strength also grew from 3 to 7.
It later integrated the Goodwill Professional Institute accredited by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training by ministerial order in an attempt to solve the problem of unskilled labour, and unemployment amongst young people through professional training in the fields of accounting, marketing, human resource management, administrative assistance etc, as well as entrepreneurship development.
The company later became a Group in 2021, with the creation of the Goodwill Financial House plc, a category 2 microfinance, accredited by the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) Decision No: D-2024/124 and the Ministry of Finance by decree no 00000710/MINFI of 7th august 2024.
